Rockstar Games released the Grand Theft Auto VI launch trailer on October 15 without announcing it first, five weeks before the game arrives on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It runs about 90 seconds, a fraction of August's nearly 27-minute Extended Look, and it spends that time differently: instead of touring Leonida's activities and systems, it returns to Jason and Lucia.
A failed score puts the couple at the center again
According to DualShockers and The Escapist, the trailer opens with Jason explaining how he drifted into crime and cuts to a call from Lucia. Kotaku quotes his line that "they don't give loans or anything to people like me", which frames the robbery montage that follows as a lack of options rather than a power fantasy. The cuts that outlets describe include a vault being blown open, a crew coming out of the water in tactical gear, nightclubs, police confrontations and a shower scene between the two leads.
The Escapist, citing Eurogamer, notes that the trailer gives The Keys more screen time than earlier footage did, and that Lucia appears to wear an ankle tag. That detail fits the first trailer in December 2023, which introduced Lucia in a Leonida prison, but Rockstar has not said what her legal status is when the game begins. Reading parole into the shot is still interpretation, not a confirmed story beat.
Justice debuts "Flower in a Hurricane" with Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard
Rockstar's launch-trailer page credits the music to the game's original score composers Justice, with a new song, "Flower in a Hurricane," featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. DualShockers reports that the track is part of Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album and that Rockstar has not dated a separate score release. For a series whose radio stations are part of its identity, the trailer is also the first look at how the original score will sound next to the licensed music.
November 19 holds, and PC is still missing
Rockstar's post announcing the trailer repeats that the game arrives November 19. That date has now survived two delays: the game was first planned for fall 2025, then moved to May 26, 2026, before landing on November 19. The trailer confirms PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. Rockstar has still not announced a PC version, so PC players should not read the launch campaign as a sign that their version is close.
Rockstar says the footage was captured on PlayStation 5, as with earlier trailers, according to DualShockers, so it shows the console version rather than a target for other hardware. For Israeli buyers, the open questions are practical ones Rockstar has not answered yet, such as the exact unlock time. Physical accessories are another: Israel was missing from Sony's direct pre-order list for the GTA VI DualSense controllers, as NexusGG reported in September. The next fixed milestone is the November 19 launch itself.
