Sony has unveiled a Gran Turismo Limited Edition DualSense wireless controller priced at $84.99 in the United States, €84.99 in Europe, £74.99 in the United Kingdom and ¥12,480 in Japan. Pre-orders open October 22 at 10:00 a.m. local time through PlayStation Direct where available and participating retailers, ahead of a global launch beginning December 10.
The controller marks the approach of Gran Turismo's 30th anniversary. Its white shell carries red and blue racing stripes, motorsport-style markings and a textured front plate designed to resemble carbon fibre. This is a cosmetic DualSense edition rather than a new controller revision: Sony has not announced different sticks, triggers, battery capacity or additional controls.
PlayStation Direct availability does not include Israel
Sony's direct-store announcement names the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Israel is not included in that list. That does not prove the controller will be unavailable locally: Sony also says participating retailers will take orders, so Israeli buyers should wait for an authorized local listing rather than assume the US dollar price will convert directly.
The regional price gap also matters. The US figure excludes sales tax, while the Japanese price includes tax and European retail prices normally include VAT. Importing can add shipping, tax and warranty complications, especially for a limited product whose local allocation has not yet been detailed.
The reveal arrived with Spec IV Part 1
Sony paired the controller reveal with the first half of Gran Turismo 7's free Spec IV update. The update adds Sportsland SUGO, six cars, six World Circuit events, new Scapes locations, Car Viewer additions and an Experience mode. The cars still require in-game credits, and the update requires an internet connection.
That timing turns the controller into a commemorative product rather than a purchase required for the update. Players interested only in the new track and events can download Spec IV without buying hardware; collectors have until October 22 to identify a retailer and check the final local price.
