Marvel's Wolverine gets a $649.99 PS5 bundle, and the Pro covers cost extra

Insomniac's Wolverine launches 15 September on PS5. Sony's Battle Yellow Limited Edition bundle pairs a Digital Edition console and a matching DualSense with a game code for $649.99, and every other piece in the range is sold separately.

Marvel's Wolverine Limited Edition PS5 range on a yellow background: three consoles with claw-slash artwork and two DualSense controllers in Battle Yellow and Adamantium finishes

Marvel's Wolverine arrives on PS5 on 15 September 2026, and Insomniac Games' launch is getting hardware to match. Sony has detailed a Battle Yellow Limited Edition range built around the game, with pre-orders that opened on 19 August at 10:00 AM local time — 7:00 AM PT in the United States.

The bundle is a Digital Edition at $649.99

The PS5 Digital Edition Battle Yellow Limited Edition Bundle is $649.99 / £569.99 / €649.99 / ¥96,980. It contains a Digital Edition console in a yellow finish with a claw-mark design, a matching DualSense with slash detailing, and a code for the game.

The word doing the most work there is Digital. This is the disc-less console, so the price buys a machine that cannot play a physical copy of anything — a detail worth weighing before comparing the figure against a standard PS5's shelf price.

Everything else in the range is separate

  • DualSense Wireless Controller, Battle Yellow: $84.99 / £74.99 / €84.99 / ¥12,480
  • DualSense Wireless Controller, Adamantium: $84.99 / £74.99 / €84.99
  • PS5 Console Covers, Battle Yellow: $74.99 / £64.99 / €74.99 / ¥9,980
  • PS5 Pro Console Covers, in both Battle Yellow and Adamantium finishes

Sony's own footnote on the announcement art is unusually explicit: the Digital Edition bundle, the PS5 Pro console, the console covers, the controllers, the game and the vertical stand are all sold separately. A PS5 Pro owner who wants the Adamantium look is buying covers on top of hardware they already own.

The Adamantium finish is the quieter half of the range. It appears on a DualSense and on PS5 Pro console covers, in a white-and-dark scheme set against the yellow of the main bundle — so the two looks are not interchangeable, and a buyer picking the Pro covers is choosing a different palette from the one the bundle console wears.

One scheduling detail matters for anyone outside North America. Sony set pre-orders to open at 10:00 AM local time rather than at a single global instant, which staggers the queue by region instead of pitting every market against the same clock. In the United States that meant 7:00 AM PT and 10:00 AM ET on 19 August.

Where to buy it

Sony listed direct.playstation.com and select retailers, with the range available from 15 September — the same date as the game. Limited Edition PlayStation hardware has historically sold through quickly at the direct store, so the practical constraint is stock rather than price.

Prices as published by Sony Interactive Entertainment on 11 August 2026. Regional pricing and availability can change; check the retailer before ordering.
