Our Sticky Love premieres on Netflix on August 7, and the service released its main poster and trailer ahead of the date. The romantic comedy series pairs Ha Young as Go Eun-sae, a prosecutor who has lost her memory, with Jung Hae-in as Jang Tae-ha, a boxing coach who calmly tells her he is her boyfriend.
The setup withholds more than it explains
Eun-sae wakes in an unfamiliar rural hospital with her memories gone. Before she can make sense of anything, Tae-ha appears with his claim about their relationship. His shabby appearance is nothing like her usual taste, and the small town — Taffy Village in Gujin-gun, lined with traditional taffy shops and populated by what Netflix calls peculiar residents — feels alien to her. She cannot bring herself to trust a word he says.
What lifts this above a standard amnesia romance is the shape of the withholding. Tae-ha's warmth gradually lowers her defences, and she finds herself smiling more around him. Then he issues a serious warning that nobody can find out about them. Netflix frames the open questions directly: what he is hiding, why Eun-sae is said to be safest at his side, and what actually bound the two of them together.
The taffy is the organising metaphor
Director Kim Jang-han describes the series as a story about building a love that binds two people as tightly as sticky Korean taffy, and says the show's charm is meant to work the same way — you are stuck before you notice. The setting makes that literal rather than decorative, placing the romance inside a village built around the confection.
What the trailer shows
The main trailer covers the pair's rocky beginning in the village rather than the resolution, keeping the central secret intact. Netflix positions the appeal on the two leads carrying an offbeat premise through easy chemistry and humour, which places the weight on performance rather than on plot mechanics — a reasonable bet given how much of the setup depends on the audience accepting Tae-ha's claim before Eun-sae does.
What the announcement does not cover
Netflix has not published an episode count, a release pattern for the episodes, or the supporting cast beyond the two leads. The characterisation of the leads' chemistry comes from the announcement itself rather than from viewing. NexusGG has not seen the series and makes no judgement on it.
