Splatoon Raiders released July 23, 2026 exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 and remains listed at a regular US price of $49.99. Nintendo describes it as a single-player-focused action adventure rather than a numbered replacement for Splatoon’s competitive multiplayer. Regional prices, taxes and retailer stock still vary, so the relevant Nintendo eShop is the authority for a given market.

What the campaign is about

Players control a customizable mechanic who explores the Spirhalite Islands with Deep Cut, described by Nintendo as a trio of swashbuckling musicians. The loop combines treasure hunting, waves of Salmonid enemies, mechanical gadgets and ink weapons. Nintendo’s material presents the Power Tank for direct force, the Speed Tank for mobility and the Tactical Tank for controlling space, giving the campaign multiple approaches to crowd management.

Salmonids move into the lead role

The familiar fishlike enemies are the central opposition across the islands. Nintendo has shown players raiding for treasure rather than defending a fixed worksite, so the context differs from Salmon Run even when enemy silhouettes and ink combat overlap. The company has not described this as a co-op Salmon Run expansion, and readers should not assume modes transfer between games.

Co-op is broader than the single-player framing suggests

Despite the single-player billing, the product page confirms that up to three additional players can join online or over local wireless, for two to four players in total, and that the game automatically scales player power so a joining friend does not trivialise or overwhelm a stage. That makes co-op a drop-in assist layered over a solo campaign rather than a separate mode. Online play requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership and a Nintendo Account, is not available in every country, and local wireless needs additional systems and copies.

Version 1.1.0 is still the current update

Nintendo Support lists Version 1.1.0, released July 22, as the latest update, and it must be installed to use the game’s Internet features. It adjusts music in certain scenes alongside other gameplay changes. Save data remains usable after updating, and all players must run the same version to play together. NexusGG has not played the release build; price, release, co-op and update details here were rechecked against Nintendo’s US pages on August 6, 2026.
