Hot Wheels Infinite Rush: Ultimate access now, worldwide launch September 10

Milestone separates September 7 early access from its worldwide release. Four-player split-screen and a Switch 2 cross-play exception matter when choosing where to race.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush opened early access on September 7 for Ultimate Edition preorders. Milestone names September 10 as the worldwide launch. The UK Xbox listing displays September 9, so the publisher date should not be converted into a promised local unlock hour.

A garage you can switch during exploration

The game spreads exploration across four islands and more than 150 vehicles. Rush Squad lets players carry one vehicle from each of four classes and switch with a button during free roaming, according to game director Domenico Celenza. The collection therefore serves a practical purpose beyond filling a garage: a different class is available when the activity changes.

The Track Builder also supports placing courses into the environment and adding AI opponents. That gives solo players a way to race their own constructions, rather than needing to gather a lobby each time.

Check the platform before planning a group race

The Xbox listing supports local play for 2–4 players and online sessions for 2–12. Milestone excludes Nintendo Switch 2 from cross-play and says its shared creations stay within that platform. Four-player split-screen and cross-platform online play are different capabilities; one does not guarantee the other. For a mixed-console group, that exclusion matters more than the size of the car collection.
