Apex Legends' Blood Pact event runs from October 13 to November 3, changing Wildcard matches into a choice between Beasts and Demons. Squads complete rotating damage and knock challenges during each round to earn the selected faction's Wild Cards rather than receiving every modifier automatically.
Beasts reward movement; Demons reward staying power
The Beast path is built for pursuit. Its three possible powers increase movement speed while weapons are stowed and add Double Jump, speed up reloads and shield-cell use, or grant temporary critical hits after reloading. The Demon set instead accelerates Tactical and Ultimate charge, grants Epic-tier shields, or makes shield cells restore the entire shield bar.
That split creates a real squad decision: Beasts are better suited to closing distance and maintaining tempo, while Demons trade mobility for ability uptime and recovery. Challenges refresh each round, so the mode asks teams to earn their build inside the match instead of locking it in at character select.
Fog and Rev Shells change how Kings Canyon is read
The event uses a haunted version of Kings Canyon where fog can arrive during a match and shorten sightlines. Rev Shell Grenades return as a tracking tool, while haunted loot bins, themed EVO orbs and map decorations reinforce the Halloween layer without changing the core objective.
EA's announcement also keeps two known problems on its public radar: Alter portals may place players at the wrong location, and some Broken Moon structures can let players clip through the ground. Those are listed as active investigations, not fixes included with Blood Pact.
