Xbox's second September 2026 Game Pass update stretches beyond the month. Minecraft Dungeons II arrives September 29, and Gears of War: E-Day follows October 6. Both are day-one additions to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, not day-one Premium titles in Xbox's published schedule. Subscribers comparing tiers should check that distinction before treating the headline lineup as one universal catalog.

The September dates split across different tiers

Dune: Awakening joins on September 22 across Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass, while the day-one Well Dweller arrives on Ultimate and PC Game Pass. On September 17, Kernel Hearts is another day-one Ultimate/PC launch. Ninja Gaiden 4 joins Premium that day, having already been available on Ultimate and PC. These are different access events: a game newly launching in a subscription is not the same as an existing game moving into a lower tier.

Xbox labels some versions as Cloud, Console, Handheld or PC, and says ‘Handheld’ denotes optimization for handheld play. That label should not be mistaken for a separate subscription tier. Gears of War: E-Day is listed for Xbox Series X|S, handheld, PC and cloud; Minecraft Dungeons II is listed for cloud, console, handheld and PC.

Eight games are scheduled to leave September 30

The departure list includes Atomfall, Sifu, Little Nightmares 2 Enhanced Edition, Little Rocket Lab, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, SOPA Tale of the Stolen Potato, Sworn and Terminull Brigade. Anyone using a subscription to finish one of them has a nearer deadline than the October Gears launch. Xbox's schedule is the current announcement, and library availability can still vary by region and platform.
