EA Sports has launched Madden NFL 27's Most Feared program in Ultimate Team. The event runs from October 15 at 1:30 p.m. ET until November 5 at 1:30 p.m. ET, combining themed player items with solo challenges, CPU and head-to-head events, Evolutions and a limited-time Candy economy.
The roster system is built around Undead, Ghosts and Skeletons chemistry factions, representing strength, speed and height. Scary Good limited items receive all three faction benefits, while Mad Scientist items act as Motivators for a chosen faction. EA says the temporary effects change after November 5, so players should not treat every Halloween boost as permanent.
Candy, passes and the free welcome player
Candy is earned through challenges and events and can be spent in the themed store. Spending it also advances the Pumpkin Pass, which pays out a reward on October 31 based on the amount used. Unspent Candy converts automatically into Coins when the broader program economy closes on November 12. Candy Bar Upgrade Items are separate and provide eligible cards with extra ability buckets and temporary Halloween boosts.
The free Field Pass offers up to 8,000 Candy plus upgrade items and player packs. A 1,000 Madden Points Premium Pass raises the combined Candy opportunity to 16,700 and adds more packs. Logging into MUT before November 5 grants an 81 OVR Za'Darius Smith welcome item that can be raised to 89 OVR with Candy Bar upgrades. The Trick or Treat CPU route refreshes weekly, while the H2H version changes first downs from 10 yards to 20.
Twitch rewards and competitive dates
EA's Most Feared Open Directory runs October 15–18. Viewers earn Gridiron Tokens at 15, 30, 60 and 90 minutes and again at two, three and four hours, followed by a Gridiron Super Token at five hours. An EA Account must be linked to Twitch, and each reward must be claimed from the Twitch Drops inventory before it is delivered to the MUT binder.
The first player release includes 89 OVR versions of Tavon Austin, DeForest Buckner, Christian Gonzalez, Daniel Faalele, Darnell Wright, Ed Ingram, George Kittle, Micah Parsons and Payton Wilson. The launch LTDs are 90 OVR Aaron Rodgers and Taylor Mays. The MCS Most Feared open qualifier follows October 17–18 with a $50,000 prize pool, while the winner also secures a Madden Bowl place; the Madden Bowl prize pool is $400,000.
