Apex Legends has crossed into Night City. The limited-time Cyberpunk event ran from July 14 through August 4, transforming E-District and adding Cyberware abilities, a Cyberpsychosis risk system, themed cosmetics and a talking Mythic Skippy Alternator.
Apex Legends x Cyberpunk event dates
The playable event ended August 4. Its separate Cyberpunk Collection remains in the store until August 18, so the cosmetic window lasts two weeks beyond the event modes. Two Cyberpunk-inspired Nessie plushes are also available for preorder through August 18.
How Cyberware and Cyberpsychosis work
Wildcard matches add two Cyberware choices. Sandevistan grants fast directional dashes that recharge shields, while Blackwall Breach phases the player into the Net before releasing an EMP that damages shields and reveals enemies.
Repeated Cyberware use fills a capacity meter. Reaching the limit triggers Cyberpsychosis, trading guns, shields and standard abilities for high movement speed and powerful melee attacks. Immunoblocker Syringes and caches can reduce or clear the meter before that transformation takes over.
Skins, Skippy and event rewards
- Eight Legend skins are available for Axle, Sparrow, Lifeline, Crypto, Rampart, Loba, Ash and Gibraltar.
- Eight weapon skins cover the Wingman, Charge Rifle, Mastiff, L-STAR, P2020, RE-45, R-301 and Kraber.
- The Mythic Skippy Alternator includes selectable personalities and can be upgraded with Exotic Shards.
- Event challenges award Eddies for a reward shop containing additional skins, packs and progression items.
How to earn the free Twitch Drops
Twitch Drops were enabled for all Apex Legends streams during the event. Watching for 30 minutes unlocked a SAMURAI weapon charm, while 60 minutes unlocked the Data Diver tracker set. An EA account must be linked to Twitch, and EA said rewards could take up to 24 hours to appear in game.
What remains available after the event
As of August 16, the limited-time Wildcard takeover, its Reward Shop and the Twitch Drop earning window are over. EA's announcement separately lists the Cyberpunk Collection in the Store tab through August 18 and gives the same August 18 deadline for preorders of the Lucy- and Rebecca-inspired Nessie plushes. Those are purchase windows, not extensions of the playable event.
The collection contains eight Legend skins and eight weapon skins. EA names Axle, Sparrow, Lifeline, Crypto, Rampart, Loba, Ash and Gibraltar for the Legend set, with weapon cosmetics for the Wingman, Charge Rifle, Mastiff, L-STAR, P2020, RE-45, R-301 and Kraber. Availability and prices should be checked in the regional store before the deadline.
