Mistfall Hunter is out on Xbox Series X|S and PC, published by Skystone Games and carrying Xbox Play Anywhere. The Xbox Store currently shows it discounted by 10% in a sale it lists as ending within two days, so the price a reader sees will depend on when they look.
Game Pass access depends on the tier
The entitlement is more specific than a Game Pass badge suggests. The store describes it as a cloud playable game included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, while streaming on Game Pass Essential or Premium requires buying the game. Separately, console multiplayer needs an online multiplayer subscription — Game Pass Core or Ultimate — sold separately.
The store also flags that the game offers in-app purchases. For an extraction title built on loot retention, that is a material fact rather than a footnote, and it is worth checking against the play loop before committing time.
A loop where dying costs you the run
Mistfall Hunter is a third-person PvPvE extraction action RPG. Players enter hostile zones alone or in three-player squads, fight both corrupted creatures and rival hunters, gather loot, and have to reach an extraction point to keep it. Death strips what was carried during the run, which is the whole tension of the design: banking a modest haul against pushing for more.
The setting frames that as harvesting Gyldenblood in a world consumed by the Gyldenmist after the fall of the gods, with the player revived by a figure named Dew to mend a shattered Web of Fate. Combat uses a free-aim system with weak-point targeting and combo strings against both corroded creatures and rival Gyldhunters. The listing advertises online co-op for two to three players, online multiplayer for up to 15, and cross-platform play and co-op.
Reaching safety means carving a path to what the description calls a Returner Woodling, which is where the cross-play numbers start to matter: a 15-player zone shared with squads of three sets how often a run ends in a fight the player did not choose.
Ratings, languages and the usual caveats
The game is rated MATURE 17+ for violence, blood and language, notes that users interact, and lists 10 supported languages. Capability badges describe intent rather than measured performance, and a live sale, a subscription tier and a regional price can each change independently. NexusGG has not tested the launch build, server stability or matchmaking.
