Once Human is free to download on Xbox Series X|S. Its Game Pass branding refers to additional membership benefits, rather than a purchase price for the base game. The Xbox store also flags optional in-game purchases, so free entry does not mean every item is included.
The September post follows an August release
The store dates the release to August 25, matching the date inside producer Vincent Tao's September 7 update. That makes the newer post a useful console overview, not evidence of a second launch. The listing also supports PC and Xbox Play Anywhere.
Tao confirms cross-play and cross-progression, plus switching between first-person and third-person views on consoles. Membership extras include an avatar and benefit cards. These are separate choices: playing with friends, keeping progression and claiming subscription rewards answer different questions.
The next announced content milestone is the Ocean Expansion in October. Its planned sea-fortress building gives returning players a different reason to watch the update calendar; it should not be mistaken for content that must be downloaded before trying the current free game.
