Microsoft's October 20 ID@Xbox showcase produced eight new Game Pass confirmations, but only three have dates before the end of 2026. Scramble Knights Online arrives first on October 26, Mouthwashing follows on October 29, and A Game About Digging a Hole Together launches on December 4.
The other five stretch into 2027 or still lack a precise date. That makes the event more useful as a map of Xbox's indie pipeline than as an immediate subscription drop. Xbox also attached its separate Play Anywhere promise to six games in the 21-game show, but only three of those six are among the Game Pass announcements.
The three 2026 Game Pass arrivals start on October 26
- Scramble Knights Online — October 26 on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC. The MMO-lite action RPG launches into Game Pass.
- Mouthwashing — October 29 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Xbox on PC. Publisher CRITICAL REFLEX says the psychological horror game joins Game Pass on launch day.
- A Game About Digging a Hole Together — December 4 on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC. The co-op sequel launches into Game Pass.
The platform details are not interchangeable. Mouthwashing is the only one of the three that Xbox explicitly lists for Xbox One, while all three have a PC version. None of their showcase entries carries an Xbox Play Anywhere confirmation, so the recap does not establish one digital purchase or entitlement across console and PC for these games. That is an absence of an announcement, not proof the feature will never be added.
Five more are scheduled for 2027 or still undated
- Mr. Magpie's Harmless Card Game — early 2027 on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC, with Game Pass and Xbox Play Anywhere.
- Croak — March 2027 on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC, day one with Game Pass and with Xbox Play Anywhere support.
- Drill Keeper — summer 2027 on Xbox on PC and Game Pass. Xbox did not announce a console version in the recap.
- No, I'm Not a Human — 2027 on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, with Game Pass. The recap does not list an Xbox PC version.
- Red Kiss — coming soon on Xbox Series X|S, day one with Game Pass and with Xbox Play Anywhere support.
Only Croak and Red Kiss were explicitly described as day-one Game Pass releases in Xbox's main recap; CRITICAL REFLEX separately used the same wording for Mouthwashing. The remaining listings confirm Game Pass availability alongside a launch window without using that label, so they should not be upgraded to a stronger promise. Xbox also did not name subscription tiers in either announcement.
Play Anywhere covers purchases and saves, not just subscription access
Xbox Play Anywhere is a separate benefit from Game Pass. For a supported digital game, one Xbox Store or Microsoft Store purchase covers Xbox console, Windows PC and supported Windows 11 handhelds; saves, add-ons and achievements travel with the same Xbox account. Among the eight Game Pass announcements, Xbox explicitly named Croak, Mr. Magpie's Harmless Card Game and Red Kiss for the feature.
The showcase also confirmed Play Anywhere for Graytail, Paper Shredder and Rustown, none of which was announced for Game Pass. Arctic Eggs was the event's surprise same-day Xbox Series X|S release, but Xbox did not put it in Game Pass. Those distinctions matter: a showcase appearance, a Game Pass announcement and a Play Anywhere badge are three different promises, and Microsoft's recap does not make them universal across the slate.
