Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is getting a 72-hour open beta ahead of its August launch. The test begins July 24 at 12:00 a.m. PT and ends July 26 at 11:59 p.m. PT, giving players a full weekend to try Arc System Works’ 4v4 tag fighter.
Marvel Tōkon open beta dates and platforms
The beta will be available on PlayStation 5, Steam and the Epic Games Store. No registration is required, and PlayStation says the download will appear two hours before the servers open. PS5 players do not need a PlayStation Plus subscription, although every player needs an internet connection and a PlayStation account.
All 15 playable characters
Fifteen of the game’s 20 launch fighters will be available. Blade makes his playable debut alongside heroes and villains drawn from the Avengers, X-Men, Guardians and other Marvel teams.
- Fighting Avengers: Captain America, Iron Man and Black Panther
- Unbreakable X-Men: Storm, Magik, Wolverine and Danger
- Amazing Guardians: Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord and Peni Parker
- Samurai Outriders: Ghost Rider and Blade
- Knights of Doom: Doctor Doom and Magneto
Modes, stages and launch date
The test includes casual and ranked online matches, local Versus play against another player or the CPU, a tutorial, Training Mode and an open lobby. Six stages are included: Marvel’s New York by day and night, Savage Land, X-Mansion, Knowhere and Wakanda.
Players can also sample the first three chapters of the Amazing Guardians Episode Mode. The full game is scheduled to launch August 6, making this beta the clearest opportunity to test its team systems before release.
