Muramasa: Revenant Blades launches on PS5 on February 4, 2027. Marvelous says the package combines Vanillaware’s Muramasa: Rebirth with its four Genroku Legends side stories, turning what was once a base game plus DLC into one six-protagonist release.
Kisuke and Momohime still forge new swords through Muramasa, while Okoi, Gonbe, Arashimaru and Rajaki train to unlock skills and charms tied to their own forms or weapons. Because each story stands alone, the six campaigns can be played in any order rather than forcing the DLC cast behind one long progression path.
The remaster changes presentation without erasing the Vita builds
The new release adds high-definition artwork, an English voice track, a gallery, character viewer and event replay. Combat still chains normal attacks with dashes, jumps, parries and projectile deflections, while mastered skills can be assigned in sets of three for ground and aerial use.
A separate classic mode contains the PlayStation Vita versions of Muramasa: The Demon Blade and Genroku Legends. That distinction makes the package more useful than a visual replacement: newcomers get the revised presentation, while returning players can compare it with the earlier combat and content presentation inside the same release.
