Sony has detailed October's PlayStation Plus Game Catalog update, with most additions arriving for Extra and Premium members on October 20. The main lineup is led by Mafia: The Old Country on PS5, the returning Horizon Forbidden West on PS5 and PS4, and Mycopunk, which joins the catalog on PS5 on its launch day.
The rest of the Extra and Premium list includes Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2, The Midnight Walk, Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn Edition and Monster Energy Supercross 25. The dates are not uniform: The Midnight Walk became available October 14 in the US and UK and October 15 in Japan, while Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2, Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn Edition and Monster Energy Supercross 25 are dated October 27 in those markets. Sony notes that regional catalogs can differ, so members in Israel should confirm each listing in the local PlayStation Store.
Premium classics, trials and HorrorFest offers
Premium members also receive Dino Crisis 2 and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition on PS5 and PS4. New time-limited trials for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and Mortal Shell II are scheduled for October 20. These are trials rather than catalog licenses, and their availability can also vary by region.
October's HorrorFest promotion adds several separate bonuses. The World War Z Vibrant Halloween Skin Pack arrives October 20. Back 4 Blood's Tunnels of Terror expansion is free to claim from October 21 through November 4, while the other two expansions and the Annual Pass receive a 95% discount. A Dead by Daylight community challenge runs October 20–26, with a cosmetic pack unlocked if members collectively complete 10 million matches.
What members should check before downloading
The important distinction is that the October 20 date applies to the core wave unless Sony states otherwise. Several games arrive earlier or later, trials are not full-game additions, and promotional DLC has its own redemption window. Sony also announced a Sony Pictures Core discount for Until Dawn from October 28 to November 3 in selected countries, but Israel is not among the markets named in the announcement.
Subscribers should therefore use the local store listing as the final authority for availability, language support and any required base game. Catalog access continues only while a title remains in the service and the membership tier is active.
