September 15 is the main date for the new PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, not a promise that the entire lineup arrives together. RuneScape: Dragonwilds and WWE 2K26 lead the PS5 additions for Extra and Premium, while Sony lists later dates for several other games.
The dates attached to individual games matter
- September 22: Ball x Pit and Slitterhead in the US, UK and Japan.
- September 29: Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, Dungeons of Hinterberg and Sniper Elite: Resistance in those same markets.
Sony also gives Date Everything! an earlier start: September 9 in the US and UK, September 10 in Japan. These named regional exceptions should not be converted into a guaranteed Israeli schedule. The announcement explicitly says lineups can vary by region; the local Store listing is the relevant check before planning a download.
Dragonwilds arrives at a useful story milestone
Jagex's explanation of version 1.0 adds context to Dragonwilds' September 15 arrival. The studio plans that release to complete Kuldra's Saga as the game leaves Early Access, while continuing development beyond it. That distinction matters to anyone who has held off on a survival game until its first major story arc has an ending.
A catalog arrival and a story milestone answer different questions: one concerns access, the other how much narrative is ready to play. Together they make Dragonwilds a more specific option for a returning subscriber than a title appearing on a monthly poster.
For planning, choose the game first, then check its date, account region and subscription tier. The Extra/Premium catalog announcement does not establish Essential access, and buying or renewing a subscription solely for a later title should follow the actual local listing.
